My very first card challenge entry

I should probably start by apologizing for ZERO blog posts in almost a year! Time has a way of getting away from me and it seems like I'm always so busy! Since my last blog post I started a new hobby - I've started making handmade greeting cards. I am selling them on Etsy (http://www.hallscards.etsy.com) and also on Facebook (www.facebook.com/hallscards).

I decided to add a new element to my card creations = coloring!! It seems simple enough and if you ask my husband what it is he would compare it with what my kids do. But it's more that that, right? For the price of the markers I sure hope so :)

Anyway, I sometimes run into problems when deciding what my next card should be. One way to help me is by entering into various "card challenges". I didn't even know they existed! So here it is....my first entry into a card challenge!

This challenge is a "sketch challenge" from Designed To Color. I was given this sketch as the inspiration for the finished card:

I am also entering this card into the "Fellin' the Love" challenge at Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps Challenge Blog.

Here is my finished card: I made it using some basic card stock I had laying around and used the following Spectrum Noir markers: TN2, EB2, PP3 and PP1. The Digi Stamp is from "Sassy Cheryl's Digi's"

Thanks for stopping by....... Pin It!

Hi Erica! Welcome back to the world of blogging! I laughed when I read about you asking your hubby how coloring cards would compare with what the kids do! What was his response? That sounds like something I'd ask my hubby!! hehe! I think your card is fabulous...and your coloring is so pretty!! Congrats on your cardselling!! I hope people continue sending paper cards...we should call them "couture", huh?! Because I'm with you...I sure have fun making them!! Thanks so much for joining us this week at Sassy Cheryl's! Hope to see you back again and again!! Hugs. Pat Frank
