Another CARMEX Review/Giveaway
'Tis the season for dry skin! I just have to say THANK YOU CARMEX!!!! I recently received another (much welcomed) box in the mail from Carmex and it couldn't have been better timing. This one included the following:
* one 5.5 oz Carmex Healing Lotion
* one 4 oz Carmex Healing Cream
* one 1 oz Carmex Healing Lotion
* one .75 oz Carmex Healing Cream
A Few things about Carmex Skin Care: For nearly 75 years people have come to love the healing power of Carmex lip balms. Finally, they have created Carmex Skin Care as a solution to help heal, soothe and moisturize your dry skin. They are particularly proud of their skin care's non-greasy feel, quality ingredients and effectiveness. Suggested Retail Price for each full size tube is $5.99. The Suggested Retail Price for each smaller size tube is $0.99. They are currently available at Walgreens and CVS, but will also be available at Walmart very soon (if not already). To find out more about these and other great products by going here: http://mycarmex.com/
I love the feel of the lotion and the fact that there is no over powering scent. The scent is light. My husband even uses the cream and takes a travel size tube with him to work and when he goes away for business trips. The healing cream is more concentrated and works GREAT on my cracked and dried out knuckles, it really penetrates and helps aid in healing.
Overall, both products were great - no complaints!!
Want to win a prize pack like the one pictured at the top of this post? You have the chance to win one full sized healing lotion and one travel sized healing lotion, one full sized healing cream and one travel sized healing cream.
Good Luck!

Little Looster Review/Giveaway
In the beginning of the summer I was contacted by Monica the CEO - Mom-trepreneur of the Little Looster. She thought I would be interested in doing a review/giveaway of the Little Looster - the Looster Booster and she was certain that my kids (and my friends kids) would appreciate it. And she was right. I love it and so do the kids. It is lightweight which makes it easier for the kids to maneuver by themselves - which really gives them the sense of independence they are always looking for not to mention they aren't always having to wait on me to help them so it eliminates accidents when they really have to "go". I have been very happy with this product and I'm certain you will be too. Be sure to check out the website: www.littlelooster.com for additional information.
What exactly is a Little Looster?
Fresh on the market, Little Looster™ is a revolutionary, uniquely-designed potty training accessory that provides the perfect support for little legs and fits discreetly around the base of your Loo. All grown-ups can use the toilet while standing or sitting without needing to move it out of the way. With the Little Looster, parents and caregivers no longer have to clean out those tiny potty chairs or fuss with a step stool that inevitably clutters the bathroom. Toddlers can train to tinkle in the toilet independently and successfully right on the “big potty.” The benefits of training with Little Looster do not stop there! Using the Little Looster saves both time and money, as parents are potty-training their little ones on average 2 months earlier. That is approximately $175/per child in savings and over 425 diapers that are no longer filling the landfills. (this information was taken from www.littlelooster.com)
I was given this product to try. Most of the comments/ideas and opinions are my own unbiased thoughts. That being said: HOW ABOUT A GIVEAWAY??!!

Carmex Review/Giveaway
You may remember my excitement when I was accepted to be a member of the Carmex Blog Squad. Well, I was recently sent an amazing package from Carmex. This package included:
Good Luck!
- 1 Carmex Lime Twist twist stick
- 1 Carmex Vanilla twist stick
- 1 Picnic blanket
- 1 Carmex Moisture Plus® clear satin gloss finish
It couldn't have arrived at a more perfect time! We were just getting ready to leave for vacation. I threw the Lime Twist and Vanilla twist stick in my purse and added the picnic blanket to the picnic basket.
I love the twist sticks. The new Carmex Lime Twist Click Stick will keep your lips smooth and moisturized while providing the fragrant scent of lime. The vanilla is precisely what you would expect; a deep, rich and delicious vanilla flavor. The twist sticks have SPF 15 to protect your lips from the sun. The twist sticks are moisturizing and were great after a day at the beach! Carmex is one of my favorite products for quality lip products. The formula is rich and creamy and provides great relief for your dried and chapped lips. These new flavors are ultra moisturizing and is a great addition to the must have items for your handbag. . I reserve the Moisture Plus clear satin gloss finish for that occasional night out! Works great and looks awesome too!!!
I also received a really cool bonus: the picnic blanket. This picnic blanket is really unique and pretty innovative. It rolls up into an easy to carry package. When you unroll it, it is bigger than you would expect. It has two sides: one comfy side to sit on and one side that is meant to touch the ground. The under side is a material that is easy to wipe off and clean. The picnic blanket also has a pocket for keeping change, carmex and other goodies in while you picnic. It is definitely my new favorite picnic/ concert/ outdoor event blanket.
My kids were also HUGE fans of the products. They can't get enough!
As a member of the Carmex Blog Squad I was given these products to try by Carmex. The comments/ideas and opinions are my own unbiased thoughts. That being said: HOW ABOUT A GIVEAWAY??!!
My friends at Carmex want to give you the items mentioned above!!

CHOBANI Greek Yogurt Review/Giveaway!!!!
I was recently given the opportunity to do a review of CHOBANI Greek Yogurt! I live fairly close to the CHOBANI plant and also to their parent company AGRO-FARMA! I have driven by the plant a few times and I am proud to say that CHOBANI is made and produced in Upstate NY!! One of the best things (at least to me) is that CHOBANI uses milk from local-dairy farmers! Any company that supports the local farms/businesses gets a HUGE A in my book and is also a gigantic contributing factor is the products that I buy for my family. But that isn't all that puts CHOBANI at the top of my list, here are other reasons:
- All natural. No preservatives. No artificial flavors.
- It's made with real fruit
- It has TWICE the protein of regular yogurt
- It is a good source of calcium
CHOBANI'S expert team is committed to bringing you products made with only natural ingredients that are not only the highest quality but also taste great too. At Chobani, our secret isn't an ingredient but a passion and love for what we do…and a man who goes by the name of Mustafa.
Mustafa Dogan is Chobani’s Master Yogurt Maker. He’s an artisan armed with years of yogurt-making experience and is responsible for crafting the rich, deliciousness that is Chobani. Mustafa custom blends special yogurt cultures just for Chobani. We add these to the milk that we receive daily from local farms to make yogurt. We then strain this yogurt to make it outrageously creamy and ridiculously high in protein.
This unique straining process is what makes Chobani Greek Yogurt “Greek” and full of flavor and health benefits:
· Free of synthetic growth hormones: No rBST-treated milk.
· Includes 5 live & active cultures, including 3 probiotics.
· Gluten-Free and Kosher-Certified.
· Safe for people with corn, nut and soy allergies.
Like I said earlier: I was lucky enough to have a case of 12 assorted yogurts hand delivered to my front door by a CHOBANI employee (which they are welcome to do ANYTIME **hint**hint**) The flavors that I received were: blueberry, pineapple, pomegranate, strawberry-banana, raspberry, black cherry, vanilla, 0% plain, 2% plain, mango, peach and honey. (there is also lemon and strawberry flavors available)
My overall thoughts on the product = DELICIOUS!!!! I loved that the pomegranate was actually the pomegranate seeds and the mango had HUGE chunks of mango in it! But my favorite was the blueberry - it was creamy and smooth and the flavoring was out of this world!! When I got to the bottom of the container I wanted more! I'm sure my kids would love this too but for now I'm being selfish and I don't really want to share it with anyone :) (p.s. while writing this review I eventually gave in to my kids salivating mouths and let them share a container of the Honey Yogurt - and they ate it all up)
I did make bread using some of the plain yogurt though - here is the recipe:
Lemon-Blueberry Chobani Loaf
Serves: 10
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 50 minutes
Calories per serving: 290
Ingredients
1 1/2 C+ 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour (if you’re skipping the fruit, you can also skip the last Tbsp of flour)2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 C Plain 0% Chobani Greek Yogurt
1 C + 1 Tbsp sugar
3 extra-large eggs
2 tsp grated lemon zest (approximately 2 lemons)
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/2 C canola oil
1 1/2 C blueberries, fresh or frozen, thawed and rinsed
1/3 C freshly squeezed lemon juice
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease an 8 1/2 by 4 1/4 by 2 1/2-inch loaf pan. Line the bottom with parchment paper. Grease and flour the pan.Sift together 1 1/2 cups flour, baking powder, and salt into 1 bowl. In another bowl, whisk together the Chobani, 1 cup sugar, the eggs, lemon zest, vanilla and oil. Slowly whisk the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Mix the blueberries with the remaining tablespoon of flour, and fold them very gently into the batter. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 50 (+) minutes, or until a cake tester placed in the center of the loaf comes out clean.
Meanwhile, cook the 1/3 cup lemon juice and remaining 1 tablespoon sugar in a small pan until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is clear. Set aside.
When the cake is done, allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before flipping out onto a cooling rack. Carefully place on a baking rack over a sheet pan. While the cake is still warm, pour the lemon-sugar mixture over the cake and allow it to soak in (a pastry brush works great for this, as does using a toothpick to make tiny holes that draw the syrup in better). Cool.

How to enter blog giveaways
I've started doing some giveaways on my blog and since I have done this there have been lots of questions about how to enter. I think the easiest way to answer is to write a post that covers this.
When you first start reading the mandatory and optional ways to enter into a giveaway it can seem a little overwhelming and confusing - but I assure you...it isn't! Just like you I was once confused too (sometimes I still am - OK most of the time I am). There are still some answers that I don't know, so I will just tell you what I do know! My blog uses blogger and I don't really know very much about wordpress.
First thing is first - in order to leave a comment on a blog you are going to need to create an account so that I will know who you are. The easiest way (I think) to do this is to create a google account - it's free and it's easy! Go here to do this: https://www.google.com/accounts/NewAccount?continue=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F&hl=en
Now on to the entries -
Most of the time there is going to be a mandatory way to enter - that means YOU HAVE TO DO THAT or your other entries WILL NOT count. Mine is usually to visit the sponsors page and leave me a comment telling me something. Once you have left your mandatory entry comment you can move on to the optional or bonus entries.
And these are just that OPTIONAL!!!!
You do not need to do these but by doing so you are going to GREATLY increase your chances of winning the giveaway that you are entering for. Sometimes a optional entry will say something like this:
"follow the sponsor on twitter (2 extra entries)"
that means that if you click on the twitter link and click that follow button you have satisfied the requirement for that entry. So now it is time to leave your entries - notice that it says "2 extra entries", that means you will need to leave TWO COMMENTS!!!! They can say something like this:
"I follow the sponsor on twitter #1 - Erica 365daysasmom@gmail.com"
and then
"I follow the sponsor on twitter #2 - Erica 365daysasmom@gmail.com"
ALSO - be sure that you leave contact information when you enter - this is usually your email address! How are we going to reach you if we don't have your email??!!
And doing the daily entries (like sharing on Facebook and voting on Picket Fences) is another great way to increase your chances of winning.
I think I have covered everything, but if you still have questions - just use the comment button below to ask them! thanks and GOOD LUCK!!!!

COUNTRY BOB'S Review/Giveaway

I recently received two bottles of "Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce" to review and let all of my readers/friends know my thoughts on it!!!! We LOVED the sauce!! It came in a very kid-friendly and safe plastic bottle and the taste of it was mild enough that even the baby was able to enjoy it with us but it was robust enough for the adults too. My Dad enjoyed so much, in fact, that we is already talking about making some delicious burgers and topping them with the sauce!
Use our All Purpose Sauce on:
Steak, Chicken, Barbeque, Fries, Hamburger, Fish and so much more!
We used it one two different occasions so far (I see more use in the future). The first night I made:
COUNTRY BOB'S MEATLOAF
1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
12 saltine crackers, crushed
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon season salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Combine the ground beef, onion, cracker crumbs, eggs, Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce, milk, season salt and pepper in a bowl and mix well. Shape into a loaf and place into a baking pan (I used a loaf pan). Spread the desired amount of additional Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce on top of the loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until the loaf is cooked through. Removed the loaf to a serving plate. Let stand for several minutes before slicing
yield: 6-8 servings
You can find other great Country Bob recipes on their website by clicking: HERE
The second night we just used it on some left-over pulled pork and ribs that we had. It was excellent on both!!!
ABOUT COUNTRY BOB'S
In 1968 Country Bob perfected the sauce of his dreams. After years of giving the sauce to friends and family he began to sell it in 1977. The reaction was overwhelming just as it is today. Almost everyone who tries Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce becomes a lifelong user. And why not, it is the perfect complement to practically any meal set on your table. Along with our All Purpose Sauce they have expanded their product line to include BBQ Sauce, Seasoning Salt and Spicy All Purpose Sauce.
For more information about the company, you can visit their website at countrybobs.com. For special promotions and events etc. you can check them out on Facebook and/or Twitter
Thanks to Country Bob's, TWO of my lucky readers are going to win TWO bottles of Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce!!!!

IntelliCeuticals Harmonic Baby Massage Oil Review/Giveaway
I was recently given the opportunity to review IntelliCeuticals Harmonic Baby Massage Oil. IntelliCeuticals is part of IntelliGender... a fun pre-birth experience for moms who can’t wait to know! Discover whether you’re having a baby boy or girl weeks before the sonogram can tell you.

I was contacted by IntelliCeuticals and immediately told them I was interested! My product arrived safe and sound within a few days. Brooklinn and I were super excited to try out the Massage Oil. It came to us at the right time - she was starting to get dry spots on her legs and tummy! The first thing I did after opening the bottle of oil was to smell it. It smelled fresh and natural! I was also happy that it didn't smell anything like lavender - so many baby products smell like lavender these days that I have grown tired of it! I couldn't wait to try it out. The fragrance (which left me just as calm and relaxed as her)- coupled with me massaging it into her skin, had a very relaxing and soothing effect on Brooklinn and it made nap time that much easier. The dry patches on her body immediately disappeared and even left me wanting to try it on my dry patches of skin!
Massaging your baby has long been recognized as a wonderful, gentle way to bond during the early months of life. The feelings of touch shared between mom and her baby create a harmonic atmosphere that can also lead to longer sleep periods during the night – a nice additional benefit to the experience!
WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS?
Harmonic Baby Aromatic Massage Oil is a 100% natural formula which contains the following carefully selected essential aromatherapy oils in therapeutic dosage:
They also have great products for Mom!
You can connect with IntelliCeuticals on Facebook, Twitter and also on their Blog. You can also find out about their other great products on their web-site.
One of my lucky readers is going to win:
1 IntelliCeuticals Harmonic Baby Massage Oil
1 IntelliCeuticals New Mom Rebalancing Drops
A VALUE OF $41.45!!
Thanks and GOOD LUCK!!!!

I've been neglecting **REVIEW**
I feel like I've been neglecting my blog in the last week or so. And I have :( I haven't entered into any new contest or giveaways which would explain why I also haven't won any! The truth is....I've been busy this week! I have never mentioned it on this blog - but I have a small business that I run out of my house. It isn't really a business, but more of a hobby or a craft. I make bath and body products!
Buzzin' Balms & Body Essentials - this is the website if you would like to check it out.
So....since I've been so busy lately and haven't had a chance to update my blog - I thought I would update with a review of one of my products. This was done by a friend of mine! And more product reviews can be found on the Buzzin' Blog
I have to admit, I am picky about what I put on my lips.

Review: Buzzin' Balm
I have to admit, I am picky about what I put on my lips.
Ever since I was a kid, they have always been dry and would often crack in the dry winter air. I was psyched when I opened up my first sample package from Erica and saw a whole tube of Buzzin' Balm staring me in the face. I unwrapped the plastic, took the cap off and smelled (because, well, I like to smell things!) and the first thing I noticed was the tingly peppermint scent (and, as you read in my Peppermint Bath Bomb review, I have grown to love the smell!). I applied some and it reminded me of Burt's Bees lip balm, only less expensive ;) I keep it within an arms reach at all times when I'm at work because the air is so dry and it really helps my lips from cracking. I love the convenience of the tube, love the scent, love how kissably smooth my lips are!

GOOSEBERRY PATCH - "Dinner$ on a Dime" review!
I love to cook! But I especially love to cook when the recipes are easy and come out tasting yummy too! I recently found a Gooseberry Patch cookbook at a local store. I've always been a fan of the company, but never had bought any of their cookbooks. I've always been more of a "search the Internet and see what I find" kinda cook! Don't get me wrong, I have lots of cookbooks sitting over in the corner of my counter looking all pretty and organized. But for some reason, I just never feel the urge to pick them up. But so far it has been different with "Dinner$ on a Dime". In the last week I have cooked 3 of the recipes included in the cookbook and I have another in the crock pot for tonight!
One of the things that I love most about this cookbook is all of the Tips & Tricks that are included. As well as all of the money saving techniques that everyone could benefit from! As I look at the recipe for "Picnic Hot Dog Surprise" (located on page 26) I notice a note at the bottom of the page which says: "When the weather is nice, carry dinner outdoors to the backyard for a picnic. You'll be making memories together...and just about anything tastes even better outdoors!" Other Tips & Tricks:
I've made several recipes already from this cookbook but for the purpose of this review I made:

Stuffed Cabbage Soup (page 46)
Carolyn Helewski
Arcadia, FL
We just loved my mom's stuffed cabbage, but it took so long to prepare. I took all of the ingredients she used and turned it into a soup that is a lot quicker and tastes just like the original!
1 pound ground beef
garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste
2 14-1/2 ounce cans beef broth
3-2/3 cup water
2 10-3/4 ounce cans tomato soup
1 4.4 ounce can sauerkraut
1/2 head cabbage, chopped
1 cup cooked rice
Brown beef in a large soup pot over medium heat; drain. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Add broth water, soup and undrained sauerkraut; stir until mixed well. Mix in cabbage and rice; bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for one hour. Makes 10 servings.
A splash of cider vinegar adds zing to any cabbage dish.
Over all I find the cookbook very easy to use and very easy to understand. The recipes are straightforward and so far have proven to be accurate and correct! I love all of the extras that are included and enjoy reading them too. I can't wait to continue to try more recipes. This cookbook will be sitting nicely next to my stove for some time to come!
If you would like to find out more about Gooseberry Patch and their other cookbooks and/or products available, you can go to their website. They can also be found on Facebook (please let them know that I sent you)!
