AND I have some exciting news to announce! We have started planning our summer of 2013 vacation. We are thinking the area around Orlando FL - (DISNEY IS THERE!!!). My kids are going to FLIP!! My husband doesn't fly so we will most likely be taking the Amtrak down (my kids will also get a kick out of the train ride too). So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop on by my Facebook shop and help me raise money for out trip - I put all of my sale money into our vacation fund and we have a long way to go!!! 

Trip to NYC and Card Challenge #13

It's time to play "catch-up". My husband and I took our two older kids on a quick trip to NYC. We walked across the Brooklyn Bridge on this trip and I have to say that was the highlight of the trip (for me anyway). What a beautiful walk that was!!

I need to mention quickly that I won on a couple of card challenges recently :) I won 2 free digi's over at Di' Digi Downloads and I also won a $20 voucher to Stamp & Create for the card I entered into Sweet Stampin's challenge!! Now for my current card challenge entries!!

Card Challenge #12 - Thinking of You

Do you eve struggle with the way something looks? I was working on this card last night and I had a vision in my mind of what it should look like and it looked beautiful....but it just wasn't working on paper. This is what I finally came up with (my 10 year old son heard me grumbling to myself and took a look and said: "I don't know what you are looking at Mom but I think it looks terrific" <3 I'm also working on my photography skills - I believe that a good picture makes all the difference in the world. This card was made using Spectrum Noir markers and the Stamp is from Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps. The Sketch was taken from Sketch Saturday!

Card Challenge #11 - gift card holder

I'm always looking for different things to add to my store. I currently have one on Facebook (www.facebook.com/HallsCards) and I'm working on getting some onto Etsy too. Today I came up with this cute little gift card holder. They can be made in a almost endless variety of colors and with almost as many embellishment options, the possibilities will be endless with these.

Card Challenge #11 - Hello.....

Lately it seems as though I have been spending a lot of time looking at cards and trying to get idea to make my cards a little more fancy and "busy". But no matter how hard I try my cards always seems to end up simple and sweet. When I come across a card challenge that is to "bring on the bling" I have a difficult time using a lot of bling because my cards seem simple. But I guess if that is your style then it is something that is difficult to change. Here is todays card creation.....

I think this is my favorite card so far - I'm just in love with it!!

I decided that I didn't like the above finished product very much so I made a few adjustments - I like the new one better.....
